Just so you know, it probably won't be the last lock you'll every own. I have had numerous bike stores and mechanics in Europe tell me that Kryptonite is the easiest U lock to break open. There was a test done in Sweden on numerous U locks, and Kryp. was the easiest to get into. This was up to 8 years ago so I don't get why people still think they're so great. Not to mention the fact that they (and other makers of U locks) can't seem to come up with a decent attachment system when it's not in use. I have to always use velcro to keep it in the holder.
