Not in small part due to Jarery's postings about it, I now have a Shower Pass Elite sitting in my closet. It works so well, I haven't had to use it yet. eVent prevents rain.
Customer service was +/-. Dave, the owner has been extremely nice, but it took 3 tries to get me the jacket (over a month) and I got a medium instead of a large. Though I'm 5'11" the medium looks like it is going to be a better fit than the large (I'm thin and mostly leg). Snug, but I can get a fleece on under it. That should work except for the very coldest of days.
Now if it would just rain so I could try it out...
