She could probably get a 1 1/4" trailer hitch receiver mounted and then choose from many different racks. Draw-Tite, Reese, Hidden Hitch are some good brands to start with. They make hitches that are vehicle specific and most mount using existing holes in the car's frame. One should be available that is inconspicuous when not in use.
