I've winter commuting in my Amfibs. I have two pairs of them, one the lobster ones (with the split finger design) and the one that you have a link to. I also use a inexpensive wool glove liner inside too. The 5-fingers amfib works find on my mountainbike, I can shift the Rapidfires OK with the glove and they are warm enough into the single digits with a liner glove. However, they do not seem to be very waterproof.. Mine has always leaked water in moderate rainfall. But since my commute is short, I just deal with it. If I had a long commute, then I think it would be a problem. They say their Pittards leather is water resistant but I have two sets of PI full fingered gloves made of that stuff that is anything but water resistant!
