I had forgotten how much fun riding a freewheel single speed is until I finished it a few weeks ago. I highly recommend building one for thrashing around. (Fixed gear on the street is the bicycling equivalent of wearing a hairshirt IMO).

Anybody know anything about the Caloi other than it's Brazilian and what's on their website? I'm very curious about this frame but haven't found much on it.

Have a good ride!
Dear Sea Green Sky,
I'm brazilian. Caloi is the most famous bicycle brand here in Brazil. Note that in earlys 90, it tohether Eddie Merkx were the bikes of pro Motorola Team (there are some pictures with Lance using a caloi). If you want, I can send you by mail some pictures. Actually Caloi have two models of road bike, both with Sora (entry level) - I think because here bike is very expensive. The site is www.caloi.com.br
