Bikes intact, had a bike lock stolen.

Never thought this would happen, and checking if a family member borrowed it, but it appears that I had a Kryptonite New York Chain stolen... and all my bikes appear to be intact.

Bikes getting stolen is fairly common, but I've never heard of having someone leave the bikes, take the lock (although the lock that was taken was on a table, not attached to anything.)

(edited) Just making sure that people know that the lock was not attached to anything, so it wasn't a lock defect issue. Even the most secure lock known to mankind can be stolen if its left sitting on a table.
