I had the Toupe for most of the year and just got the Gel. To me there just isn't a whole heck of a lot of difference in the two saddles. What does stick out to me though is that the frame of the Gel doesn't flex nearly as much as the original Toupe. Now I wonder if this is a running design change to tthe original model as well because I know some people complain that it flexes too much. I haven't seen a newer std. Toupe to confirm this though. They are the same cost and its really a coin flip...both are great.
