Actually, the acronym has changed meaning over the years. Back when they were simply a Harley-oriented, anti-helmet-law group, it stood for "American Bikers Against Totalitarian Enactments". Not much doubt about where they stood.
Now it stands for "American Bikers Aimed Towards Education"; a bit less in-your-face I suppose.
