I must be a nerd. I think the multiple upshifting is wonderful, and I use it all the fricken time. Just as multiple downshifts are great in hilly conditions, the multiple upshift at the top to get back going down hill is just as great. Overrated? Not for me. --Being able to dump both thumbs to simultaneously go to the small ring and drop a couple cogs to keep near the same ratio is perfect for pre-planning a hill. Dowhatchalike, but I'm staying with Campy, and when I build my next bike I'll go NOS if I have to....
