I tried that type of pedal and since gravity kept the clipless side down you had to tip the pedal over with your toe and quickly slide your foot onto the pedal then engage the cleat. I took those things off after two weeks as they drove me nuts. I just don't see any advantage to a one sided clip/platform pedal over a double sided clip/platform pedal.
