New max/5sec numbers again today. I think that part of it may be that my new bike has drop bars with a round bend instead of ergo, this seems to allow for better hand positioning and thus more leverage when pulling on the bars. I'm curious to hear if those of you that can actually sprint run round or ergo bend, or if it really doesn't seem to matter.

But at least you're riding I guess! That's 95% of what counts.
Ha! Maybe it is more trouble than it's worth. But that's really all of bike racing, isn't it?

I used to have ergo bars, and while I'm not sure it directly hurt my sprint (I still won ****), I HATE going back to them now.

They feel so weird, and hard to sprint in.

Rotundo's ftw.

Pro Vibe 7S. Very stiff, very round so I can get my hands really deep into them. I gave up on ergo bars long ago; could never find the sweet spot.

the best part about those brake levers is that once you start stopping you just can't stop stopping.

2x(almost)20s tonight. ~17.5 minutes into second one someone rings my doorbell..thinking its a neighbor I jump off the bike. Turns out it was my sister, so I jumped back on the bike and tried to finish up the last minute and a half.

Could have ignored it..or she could have texted before coming over (she lives in the building next to mine)

3.5 hours on the way to work this morning. Got my replacement drum for the rollers, and they ride so smooth now! Still can't ride no hands though but did manage to mount the rollers without holding on to anything. Still feeling sickish, and rain tomorrow so may just skip riding.

Just started watching that. Very interesting plot but I'm not completely hooked yet.

I was intrigued at first but ended up disappointed by it. Even more intrigued by Jessica Jones but similarly disappointed.

IMO great TV has a strong season-long or seasons-long dramatic arc. "Characters get into adventures along the way" is not enough of a dramatic arc.

Next Thurs Daniel needs to run for the Air Force fitness test. I don't think he's run outside of some rowing warm-up since 6 years ago in middle school.
Test is 1 mile run. Ave is 6min/mile, fastest is 5:20/mil.
I have some concerns.
I'm also not liking what it could do to his cycling. Each column needs to be done in 2 min, then 3 min rest, then the mile run.

At first, I wondered what that copter was going to do and then I read the post above and just about peed my pants. Love it.
