I've done a few rides (read: cramming) on the cross bike because I signed up for a 100 mile gravel ride/race on Saturday and I've never done one before. There's a 50 and 30 mile option but I decided to go all in, there's a lot of climbing and the forecast is 40's and rain/hail. Sounds interesting!
I did the group ride on my road bike and felt fast today, so there's that!

I'm supposed to spin easy; the weather says "maybe". I would prefer 35 and raining to 54 and almost but not quite misting, because at least then I would know avoiding the trainer is futile.

Opted to watch the Giro and avoid the rain, so more VO2 work on the trainer. I've really struggled my last couple VO2 workouts. Partially mental, partially physical, but I think mostly mental. 6x3' @ 115%, 3' RI; 12' tempo; 4x2' @ 130%, 4' RI. Didn't quite hit all the numbers but was within 5% on most and bombed a couple.

Speedy team ride this morning. Riding with a decent amount of accumulated fatigue and spent much of the ride right on the edge of crisis. Lucky for me, one other guy was hurting worse, so it was a case of not having to outrun the bear, just outrun the slower guy. 30 minutes over Z5 in a 2 hour ride (pretty typical for one of these). Breakfast burrito time!

I'm so pooped.
Rode my heavy beater in the advanced group ride. Got dropped after 45 min. Caught them at the gas station. Got dropped immediately. Didn't feel good to begin with. Was pushing near max heart rate for much of the ride. Only a matter of time before the wall hit me like a truck. Next week.

After a full 36 hours off, did an hour and a bit today to check my legs. Hard to say without doing any structured work or extended time at threshold, but I felt a lot more like a normal human than I have in the last week. Still glad I'm not racing tomorrow.

Did the morning hammer ride, lost most of the sprints but won the final one.
Then added about 30 miles at the end, even though it was raining. #htfu
CTL is finally in the 80's again, tryna get it up a little higher.

no riding yesterday and today, did run for 15 mins, 2 miles, so I think I have at least a 7:30/mile 5k pace in me for my upcoming relay duathlon. of course, every time I run I manage to get some tech snafu so I have yet to really be able to analyze my HR and pace.

Yep! Did Sisters to Belknap springs and back. 87 miles and 7600ft, so much fun. Was busy out there. Road should be closed to cars until mid-June.

Took a day off work to do some chores and put in a big one: 85 mi, 3.5k elevation, with a 4:45 rolling time which was good for 17.8 mph. Like @Andy STi's ride, but easier
.
Up next: cleaning my kitchen, than the bathroom. I might try to squeeze a haircut in as well.
