I stopped weighing myself November 16th last year because I noticed it was probably becoming unhealthy. I would previously weigh myself immediately after waking up and before going to bed and was able to pretty ruthlessly optimize my weight down, but I don't think the end result was necessarily increased performance. This year I've just focused on eating healthier instead of stressing over each pound, and at the very least my doctor hasn't been as anxious during my physicals.

You guys are funny. I don't own a scale but the in-laws have a really nice one. I weigh myself when I go there, maybe twice a month with clothes on ha!

visiting my parents and brought my trainer since it's raining. Actually just picked up the kickr snap to try out (got it at REI because I'm pretty unconvinced it's the one for me). Did a zwift race and measured my powertap separately and used the snap to feed data to zwift. overall the snap is 5% higher (and I did the advanced spindown) 224 on the PT and 237 on the snap for 48mins. No wonder everyone seems to have such high figures lol (even with the benefit of "free" power, I finished 21/21 in the B group haha). anyhow, 5% for me seems too much of a difference to just rely on the trainer power readings, but I do like the change in resistance on hills, though I couldn't really tell about drafting.

Went a bit hard (for someone with 45 TSS) and felt zero pain where I tore the muscle. That's two days, which is promising. So I'm hoping the next two weekends some solid z2 under 3 hours, the week after that some max efforts to test things out, then back to normal riding.

Coming back from injury ain't fun, this much I know.

40 mins on the rollers.
Trying to not go too hard given crits Sat, Sun, Monday. Monday is the one that will be the hardest and really matters, so I don't want to be too tired.
If I was smart I'd skip the Sunday race, but it's the masters district championships! @Ygduf said he'd work for me so I have to go.

Ugh I know. Just noticing it today also. Lights for the first hour this morning, and lights on the way home from caltrain for the first time this fall. Seven more months and we'll have decent light again.

brought back a head cold that moved into my chest after Yosemite last weekend... ugh.
I had wanted to do a couple big rides this weekend, but I'm not so sure that's a good idea at this point. I'm already on the mend, but not 100% yet. We'll see what I end up doing.

I'm sure you will already, but be cautious with the adductor and hard efforts for a while... it's not a prime mover in the pedal stroke but is recruited when other (larger) muscle groups fatigue, and it is easy to re-injure and turn into a chronic issue.
Lower-intensity efforts shouldn't bother it at all.

I was showing it to my teammates at a race, just to show them the massive bruise and that it was a legit injury. I don't really think they cared, but I've been off and on the bike all year so I felt some need for validation.
Thanks, that's going to be the hard part. I can ride now but I can't hammer. I just keep reminding myself that's how I retore my achilles tendon a few years ago (coming back too early).
It's much worse than I thought it would be. Didn't use crutches but probably should have. Mine wasn't quite as bad but every step had a twinge for about a week.
