Tempo / Endurance for 2 hours then two sets of vo2 intervals and one anaerobic interval. My power curve may not look all to hot but my repeatability is on point right now.

SoCal, dead of winter. Much needed Neopolitan Ice Cream recovery.

First ride in several months with 2 big climbs. Off the back on both, but the fitness seems to be coming back, as I was only mostly dead at the end of the ride.

just managed to squeeze in an hour before we fly out to my in-laws for the week. 2x15 @ 270, which is a new high for me with this. don't know if I get ambitious and set my ftp at 270 from 265, will give it a try, usually never hurts me when i do bump up my target based on how I do on 2x15

I have spent November and December rebuilding my road endurance post Masters Track Worlds. I gave up most of my endurance in 2017 for sprint power.

5 hours of constant power riding over Saturday and Sunday staring at my PM per coach mattm. I took with Xmas off. 10 hours 578 TSS LTS 55.

Another solid day of riding; 4 hours, trying to keep it over 200w.

I feel terrible for posting that pic now. There's so much darkness in that pic, so much despair.

Also I keep looking for whitewalkers beyond the chairs.

Meh, it is what it is. I'm learning to appreciate the trainer, tempo intervals make time fly by.

Hill intervals. My training partner wasn’t feeling it and we were losing light so we just did 6 when we would normally do 10.

Why would you be ashamed of doing 5x20s?

One more week then Aruba. Then deepen prep for the season, along with a heap of winter meditation practice. Comes at the right time. CTL is around 90 and Iím about cooked. Wonít hit 600 hours for the year but Iíll be close, and itís nearly 100 more than year prior. Plus Iím as light as any point during the season. Saw 135 the other day.
All good signs for me.

3rd week dealing with plantar fasciitis, can't really program anything until I get on bike then see/feel how foot is doing then after 15 or so minutes I might do 3x8 thresholds. Was on vacation last week and the crocs shoes helped a ton!
Now back to self therapy of electrotherapy machine that cost $27, spiked ball self massage, icing and lots of magnesium foods (sardines, cacao drinks, avacados, kale) breakfast> oatmeal with coconut oil, turmeric, pure honey, flax seeds, chia seeds. Dont' want to gain much weight

Minute Intervals @z6 with 30s rest. Those were hard and I only averaged 2 over z6; most were at 5.7-5.9. Even though z6 is hard I'm probably going to keep it there. My 1 minute power is terrible, on the Coggan Chart its 'untrained'. Which since I've been training for years it essentially translates to 'wow, you really suck'. Even looking at my best ever 1m power makes me want to ebay all my stuff.

I really haven't done anything this year but base and specific zone interval training so my my maxes on the power curve this year aren't very good because I've had very few if any max efforts.

Couple hrs w 3x10' at SST, Z2 in between. Legs stiff and uncooperative. I had some good momentum going with my training and fitness bit this week long cold/cough really derailed things, such is life.

I just need to get deeper into this block (that I'm now starting) and my body will start to respond to the consistency and feel great again. Early in the month I was feeling fantastic, almost as fit as I was all season with plenty of room to train up

Today did 80 minutes at 306w. This time last year was doing that for well over 2 hours. That seems very far away at this point and I don't think I'll actually try pushing it out too much further this year. Instead think I'll try to bump 75-90 minute power up little by little and see how I get on with that. Might be more useful. Maybe if I get it high enough I can actually go solo in a race!... but probably not.
