Same ride as Hack. (Nice to to see you!)
Brought my son along so we hung out at the back. I think he may have been the youngest rider there, and he did great.

I stop at Swami's all the time for a water or bathroom stop. The break down there is amazing, so glassy and clean. I like to watch a couple sets roll in sometimes if I'm not crunched for time.

Did 97 miles yesterday, mostly z2, out the coast. One of those rides where I didn't know what the total distance would be, thought it would be higher; might demand a recount..
Got a slow leak at the end of the ride, didn't feel like fixing it so just pumped up the tire every mile or so for the last three miles.

You missed some absurd antics near the front rolling down Scott Rd. Seemed the objective for a handful of guys was to see how long they could stay out over the yellow with oncoming traffic. Need a moto ref out there to relegate.

Ay carumba. I'm aiming for that much total including my ride tomorrow AM, before it starts raining (down here).

We had a fair amount of accordioning at the back. Was wondering what was going on up front. You could hear some yelling.

No riding for me this past week. Spent the week wandering Paris. Lots of walking. And there are a ton of stairs here. I'd hate to be in a wheelchair here. Not sure I'd be able to get around.
Also, I learned the hard way that the short line to get in the Eiffel Tower is the line to the stairs.

I skipped my ride today due to some random IT band pain outside my left knee. It's iffy and I probably could ride, but I'd rather not risk it.
Today was supposed to be the last big day of a 3 week block before I took it easy next week. I'm bummed I didn't ride and looking at 12 hrs this week vs. 17, but I feel I made the right call.

Rain river ride/annual championship ride.
Weather kept the headcount lower than normal, but a decent turnout nonetheless. Pretty safe and well paced overall. Ended up on the front with 600 to go. Oops ... thought the guy in front of me had more in the tank. Led out the sprint after that. No crashes, a nice change.

CX Race, cold and rainy. On lap 4, went over the bars (I think) doing about 15 on an off camber straightaway where a tree root caused a rut. After that my balance was off and I was pretty much checked out and just finished...dfl. Forgot to turn on Garmin but probably about 500 kj 50 TSS. Can barely move hands and fingers but I don't think anything is broken!

Week is done.
356 miles, 20:45, 28,000ft, 1036 TSS.
TSB after today only -6. Feel much better than after Thursday when it was -30s. I rode the TT bike today. That's the plan from now until January.

back to square one, got on for 45mins tonight, with my ctl being at 35 after being 77 a month ago. A couple of weeks I was busy, another couple of weeks I've been with a nagging cold. Not quite going whole hog into training, because the next 12 weeks are probably going to be the busiest damn weeks in my life.
I talked my wife into doing a sprint tri this summer. I did a relay duathlon with her this past summer where I ran 6k and she rode 11miles, but she's going to do this solo. I can't swim so I'll either spectate or maybe the duathlon if I can stand to make myself run again
