track pedals

is it OK to use Look clipless pedals for track riding? or only conventional toe stap pedals. I know guys are using speedplay pedals, just not sure about Looks.

Any info would be appreciated

Ah yes...the long fought battle between old-school trackies and the "new age" trackies.

Well...if you want my opinion, for all around track riding, go with clips & straps. It is not that much of a hassle as riding them on the road, and are more secure than riding clipless when you're delivering so much power to the pedals like track racing involves.

I would only say that riding clipless is safe if you're using them strickly for pursuit (but I gather that's not what you'll be riding them for?).

I have seen way to many accidents occur from riders riding clipless pedals. I wouldn't take the chance.
