HED Jet 5: Looking for Opnions

Hey folks, first time poster here.

I'm looking for feedback on the HED Jet 5 wheelset, particularly as it applies to racing.

For those of you have them, and have raced on them, either RR or Crits, what did you think?

I currently ride/race on Dura Ace C24's.

Thanks!

I have the 6+, so does my wife. I started with the c2 width (23mm). They're awesome. If you don't want to deal with carbon braking (or lack thereof) then they're the way to go. The stock build is probably overkill for us at ~130#/~146# but they will last forever.

We use them for crits, RR, TT.

Oh yeah, and they make lots of whooshing noises. Some people like that, some don't.

The wide rims are super duper aero. Cervelo specs on them the S5 and I'm pretty sure the reason it does so well is the wheels and bars.

Thanks Harlan

All the reviews/comments I've read rave about the 6+ so good to know.

I have an old set of HED Jet 50's that I bought new. Aluminum rim with carbon fairing. Done some RR and lots of training on them, and they have held up well. YMMV
Cheers

It seems like the 6's are put on clearance every year around this time. They seem to hold their value though, I just sold a set of 23mm wide (previous version) 6s for $500. That's $100 less than I got my new 6+s for.

I picked up the HED Jet 6+ from CC. They were able to price match so I ordered a set from them.

Thus far I really like the wheels. I love the look, they are much stiffer than the C24 for off the saddle efforts and hold their speed well. The woosh noise is the icing on the cake

I would post a picture but can't cause I'm a noob on this forum.
