Tour de Suisse

My hopes for the Tour de Suisse are that Chris Horner will ride well enough to get selected for Saunier Duval-Prodir's Tour de France team.

I also hope that Joseba Beloki finds his form once again.

I'm predicting a good performance from Horner.

This is when we find out what's up with riders like Mayo, Valverde and Cancellara. We know that Jan is very close to peak form. This is a great field!

Whoa! Horner looked strong today. Finished near the front of the field sprint. 13th out of 160 riders.

The performance enhancing drugs that CSC is using are starting to have some obvious and negative side effects!

It's an Euskatel invasion! First the Dauphine, then the Tour de Suisse! How about Mayo at the Tour to make it 3/3?

Way to go Aitor! He's looking strong...like the year he destroyed the field at the Vuelta. Could Aitor be threat at the Tour de France?

Great ride by Chris Horner!!!!! Finished very near the front of the race today in perhaps the hardest stage of the race. Finished 5th overall in GC. Now if Horner does well at the Tour this year he is going to be due a decent contract for next year. How many here think that Horner would be a good fit at CSC? I mean Bjarne Riis has no predjudice towards age(Chris is 33)...and he has done a great job with American riders such as Julich, Zabriskie, and Tyler Hamilton. Contracts for next year are usually decided during July...so we should know soon where Mr. Horner will ride next year. I'm not sure if he has another year on his contract with Saunier Duval-Prodir? Certainly they would have to give him a raise because I hear that Chris is racing for peanuts this year. Hope he has a good Tour!

I would love to see the "orange invasion' back in the Tour mountains...like in 2003 when Mayo and Zubeldia made trouble for everyone. I hope they take Zubeldia, Mayo, Aitor Gonzales, and Laiseka to the Tour. It will make it interesting in the mountains....very interesting!

Yeah! Aitor is a hell of a time trialer and all around rider. A real talent. Great to see him notch the overall win! Wins a tough final stage with a breakaway. That's how it ought to be.

Oh ****. I didn't realize OLN was airing this until a couple minutes ago. It wasn't showing on my schedule. Was this a last minute addition? Are they airing again on Wednesday?

It looks like they're not going to show a repeat on Wednesday. I was kind of disappinted with the cycling coverage. After everyone was talking about the 3 hour slot they did last weekend, I was sure it was going to be another 3 hours today. Not so.

Anyone watching see Sven Montgomery in the lead group of climbers? His father, C.J. frequents the forums. In Stage 8, he got to ride through his hometown, which I'm sure was a great pleasure for him, since CJ said the whole village was going to come out and cheer on Sven. Sven did a great job in Stage 9 also. Congrats, Sven and CJ!
