Mt Washington elevation data?
Hey all,
I just got a entered into the Mt. Washington Hill Climb and am trying to find the elevation data for the climb. The one site I knew of previously (New England Hill Climbs) appears to have dissapeared, so if anyone has anymore info than its steep or averages 12% I'd be very greatful.
thanks

And those are meters, guys, not feet, in that elevation profile. Yes, it really does go up nearly 5K feet in only 7.8 miles. That road is a fine ski descent 8 months out of the year.
Good luck and have fun! Some day....

More info: Yeah it can be dangerously windy, and/or cold (Heck it has been know to snow in August there.)
It is considered one of the sickest climbs too bad it is not all on pavement, and really too bad it is not open to bikes...(But I understand...it is really too steep to safely decend on a road bike.)

nope, but its about an hour drive to pad monadnock which is supposed to be a bit steeper over 3 miles, but its not like i have any real training time. I think I'm just going to throw a mountain crankset and maybe cassette on and hope I stay concious through the entire climb.

Wow - I was just talking to an ultra-running friend of mine a few days ago about Mt. Washington and how cool it would be to have a bicycle race on it.
I myself would attend. As a spectator. With beer.
Actually I'd like to think I could do the climb, but probably not competitively.
