Breathing technique during ride

Hi,

Could someone tell me or point me to web site which explains ‘breathing techniques’ during bike ride please.

I’m not sure if I should breathe through my nose or mouth?

Cheers

Don't hyperventilate.
Use your diaphram.
Breathing through your mouth is OK.
Try not to inhale foreign objects.

Taking yoga will teach you to breathe properly...but SteveE's advice is a good place to start .

Just make sure you fully exhale.

Using your stomach instead of your chest muscles as you breathe will help you relax.

Breathing through your nose is OK, too. Might be better in cold weather.

Depends on what kind of riding. You can take bigger breaths when you relax and sit more upright. Relaxation is always good for staying aerobic.

Exhale all the way. You want to get as much carbon dioxide out of your lungs as possible.

In through the nose and out through the mouth. This helps to prevent your mouth and throat from drying out as fast, it will also insure that you don't swallow any bugs. Exhale ALL you can, this gives you more "room" when you inhale. Out through the mouth will also let you exhale faster so you can refill faster. Just don't hyperventilate.

Ya, like those "fat" pros

Kind of hard around here sometimes to not take in some "crunchy" bugs!
