Check out this shot from the Milano San Remo...

It looks like an alien bug with a mouth full of teeth.

PS: I butchered the team spelling...to bad we can't edit the thread title.

Man I thought LAS couldn't get any uglier than last years model....apperantly I was wrong. That is the ugliest helmet I've every seen. If I were Liquigas I'd make LAS pay the team hazzard pay to wear that thing.

Is the flat part on top removable? If so they should make it interchangable accessories...kinda like that one Cinelli stem with the pinup girls.

That is Garzelli pictured there and no it isn't the team helmet for Liquigas, although they do wear LAS helmets....This is something that is unique to just Garzelli, I don't know where I read about it a few year's ago, but he has a special relationship/contract with a local Italian artist that does the designs for his helmet's...It's sord of like Lance wore Nike shoes while competing and Hincapie wears Carnac shoes, special endorsments for certian products the pro's use....

If I remember corectly that painting is some type of a large cat and you're looking at the mouth portion with teeth....I think after Garzelli won his Giro, he started wearing that specially designed helmet..It probably has something to do with his nickname in the peleton or something like that..
