What's a roleur?

I've heard the term, don't know what it means. What kind of rider is a roleur?

I *think* a roleur is somebody who fast enough to lead the pack, but not fast enough to win the finishing sprint.

I think it's a small chocolate filled with caramel. No hang on - that's a Rolo.

It isn't supposed to be unflattering.
Basically it is the guys that can hammer all day and make you hurt just following their wheel. They can drive breaks and are the bulls of the peloton. Ludo Dierxsens (Lampre-Daiken) is a good example of a roleuer.

There are climbers, sprinters, all-rounders and roleuers. It is a type of rider.

It actually should be: "rouleur" which means -roller-
Rouler = to roll. Also used sometimes meaning to ride. As "je vais rouler ma bisiklette "
RacerX said it right.
Once a rouleur gets rolling, he's hard to stop.
Any rouleurs on the forum here?

I think I know one. He's legally blind, huge, and can only get around on foot, on a bike, or public transport. He likes to ride his bike, but if he's behind you WATCH OUT! He's almost slammed into me a few times.

I think you meant to write:

je vais rouler ma bicyclette.

French can be a weird langauge because the words don't sound like they are spelled.
