LOTOJA report - stay tuned for more!

I did the race yesterday and will post a full report later today. This race
is a blast!!! It has terrific support, the course goes through beautiful country and
is fun to ride as well.

I finished in a time of 13 hours 50 minutes, with NO teammates or pacelines...
so that's an overal average speed of 14.89 mph which included about 7 stops of
5 minutes each. I was really stoked about this considering I came up from sea
level and the race went from 4500 to 7500' over 3 mountain passes and also
because I didn't train specifically for this - my longest ride this year was 70 miles.

I may suck at crits, but this long distance stuff - YEAH BABY!!!!

That's fantastic! Especially with those elevation changes. Good for you.

Last time I went to a high elevation, I had altitude sickness for the first three days.

I would love to know more about how the different groupings work. How many people are you able to work with along the way? Can you only work with people in your own group?

9:48:55 is an amazing time for a 205 mile race. How much of that time was spent solo?

Thanks for posting snicklefritz and congrats to everyone that finished. I am really looking forward to this next year.

I can't imagine doing 206 miles in 9.5 hours, nice job bayareawheeler! That's like a 21mph average pace. Dang!

You're right, that time can't be right. I'll bet that Keith Jordon is saying wtf?
