I'm shooting for this once I hit 35. got some years to get ready. 2 guys from Portland on my team are doing it as 3's. It's a super hilly race and expectations are low unless you are 150 lbs. Also known to be rainy. Elkhorn is a great first time stage race if you can take the heat.

I'm in for the 3's. Rented a condo 1 block from the crit site. Two pounds a week and I'm well under 150 for the start, hungry and in a bad mood.
After a few of the death march races this year my only fear is peaking too early and having the wheels come off. Let it rain. Let it snow for that matter. Uglier the better.
If the wireless on the laptop works I'll post day by day feeds while the legs are up.

Hood is scary. Period. I was thinking of doing it this year but was dissuaded by some folks. It's a climbing monkeys dream. I would have destroyed myself and killed a good portion of the rest of my season.

Cypress don't worry after a stage or two with no shower the rest of the group will blow themselves up trying to drop you, or they will just let you off of the front. Good strategy!!
