The freaky thing is I can't tell what she hit. It's like she just decided to do a front flip.

UmneyDurak 02-07-07 11:04 PM

Reminds me of my crash in a crit. Scrapped up both heaps, right elbow, and wierdest thing my HR strap has some deep scratches on it! Helmet was ok, no other injuries. Still have no idea how I managed that.

Another riders foot got unclipped and the shoe hit her wheel or something sending her skywards. Apparently she kept rotating and didn't get hurt at all. I'm 99% certain that it's Tina Pic, the national crit champ. I get to ride with her on the WBL rides in Athens...ridiculously strong

Ya know what they say....rubbin's racin'

GaryA 02-08-07 10:22 AM

The rider in the yellow jersey appears to not have the right foot clipped in.

Pwnt 02-08-07 10:36 AM

That does NOT look fun.

Pwnt 02-08-07 10:37 AM

on a side note: look at her calf muscle....MY GAWD!!!

bitterken 02-08-07 11:15 AM

IIRC, she was pretty cool about the whole thing after the race. Pretty classy in fact.

I was at that corner when it happened. That's the last corner at the USPRO Crit Championships in Downers Grove, IL. Her front wheel hit Van Gilders shoe/pedal, which came unclipped and continue to revolve around until it hit the fork, causing Tina Pic to do an endo of massive proportions. Crazy to watch. That photographer must have been right next to me.

Amazing!!!!

Stallionforce 02-08-07 07:48 PM

That really looks savage. Glad she's ok.
