Hamilton's 2007 Start

Did not make the cutoff time in the GP d'Ouverture La Marseillaise; 11 seconds behind in stage 1 of Etoile de Bessèges and with the pack in stage 2. Sounds like the weather has been pretty bad though. Thoughts? Flames? Rants?

Well according to cyclingnews he's been training with Cecchini, so ...

I think with all the time off it's going to be at least until the end of the season -- if not next year -- that we will see an in-form Hamilton. His optimism about the Giro is more like fantasy.

If he'd admitted to his guilt at the outset, I would be rooting him on. But as it stands I'm pretty nonplussed.

I disagree. I think he will outperform at the Giro. I don't think his team is strong enough to get him on the podium but top 3 on a stage won't shock me.

+1, It would be great to have a Basso/Hamilton battle. To once and for all see who has the best drug connections..... but like Dial tone said... I doubt Tinkov would be able to support Tyler (even if he surpsignly was in form).
