Levi Leipheimer Puff Piece...

Since no one's mentioned it yet, the SF Chronicle ran an article on Leipheimer and how his wife, a former pro herself, supports him in his quest for the podium.

No mention at all of Basso for some reason, though....

Prolly because Joe Average Reader doesn't want to read about some foreign alleged doper taking Lance's spot on Discovery, and would rather hear about another American "hope" for the spot.

Did you even read the article? It was about Leipheimer, his wife, and their personal approach to his incredibly strict training regimen. I found it fascinating.

I would find a similar article about Basso to be fascinating as well--and I wouldn't expect to find any reference to Leipheimer or Armstrong or Ullrich or Schleck or anyone else in it. Maybe a few gratuitous photos of his sister hopefully but nothing about his rivals or teammates.
