Mason Lake Series PNW

I went to the race location, well, atleast what I thought the start would be. I found a boat ramp and a gravel parking lot across the street from it and was wondering where to park. Surely everyone isn't expecting to park in the little gravel lot, especially not with cleats on.

Also, does anyone have any info on the race, I've looked at the race flyer and google earthed the race but I'm not exactly sure the route around the southern part of the lake. Does anyone remember average speeds for the cat 5?

Thanks in advance,
-Barry-

Hey did you ride the Mason Lake race last Saturday? I was out there. It was pretty fun until I got caught behind a crash and struggled to catch up to the pack. Oh well. I will be racing out in Sequim on Sunday and then back at Mason Lake for the last race in the series. How did you do?

I didn't know about the race in sequim, where did you find out about that? Where are you from? I'm on the west side of the sound and need someone to ride with. Unfortunately, I won't race at sequim because my knee is jacked right now and the doc says I can't ride/run/hike/do anything fun for atleast three weeks so I can't do Mason Lake #3 like I had planned. I did drive behind the afternoon peleton just to time a lap...I was in an '07 Toyota Tacoma in red.

oh that sucks about your knee. I am in Seattle, so my usual training is around lake washington. If you go to www.pazzovelo.com you can find a full calendar of races. There are 3 Sequim races, I did the first one yesterday. It didn't go so well, I was caught behind a crash in the first 5 miles, and then another one about a half a mile down. that was basically the end of my day. Anyway, check out that site and you can see all the races that are around this area.
