I love Spookys so much, but I couldn't justify the price difference between that and my caad10. How much does it weigh?

It is very close to the same weight (frameset wise) as my old ride, which was a kinda-generic carbon... it was basically a re-badged pedalforce QS3.

The frame itself was 1275gm ish, (size M/L, roughly a 56-57cm), that's with the bottle cage mount screws, the seatpost clamp, the braze on and the RD hanger (and paint of course). My QS3 frame (known to be pretty light) was more like 1150 in the same condition. However, the enve fork that came with the Spooky was about 325gm, which was a good 100gm less than the fork that came with my 'ol carbon frame. Between that and the FD clamp (and lack thereof), its basically a push weightwise.

I can't tell you its really any better than a CAAD-10... probably similar weight, similar ride. It has a couple neat features with the shaping of the tubes, cable routing, etc. However, I did get full custom paint which was cool. Mostly I got it because I wanted to support a local business... like buying your veggies at a farmers market! Taste a bit better, MAYBE better for you, def. more expensive, but just maybe worth it.

Good looking bike. I saw that they have some sale. If you don't mind what size was the old frame. I have always rode a 56cm, I'm thinking M/L would correct.

Yeah, there is a full geometry chart posted on the Spooky website. I first road a standard 56cm specialized allez, and later a Lg QS3, which I believe was 56cm, maybe 56.5cm. I'm relatively standard proportioned and 6ft tall, the M/L fits me well.

My custom Cysco road racer. That's a crap photo, doesn't really do the paint justice. You might notice that the website says "Custom Titanium Bicycles," which is where Richie is focusing his efforts, but my bike is steel. It's not a lightweight build, but as pictured it comes in at 18 lbs on the nose. Not bad. It's the best-handling bike I've ever ridden, and I've had a fantastic season it. Even crashed it, putting a nice dent in the top tube - you can see it if you look closely enough. I love this bike like no other I've had.

We/I/Spooky use headtubes that are on average about a centimeter shorter than what other people use on stock bikes to give people the ability to run more drop if they want, because most of our customers in the past seem to be looking for more drop than what they can get than the stuff currently on the market.

If your saddle tip to handlebar center reach is less than 58 I'd recommend going with a medium, larger than that I'd recommend going with a medium large.
I like to see people riding a 120mm-130mm stem on our bikes for the best weight distribution, so keep that in mind.

that's pretty sweet. and are those pink CK hubs?

Your bike has all the things i deem "visually pleasing" in my books: traditional round drop, slammed stem, etc.

you still racing collegiates this year?

With pixlr, I did a quick pull of a tire cross-section (700mm), lined it up to the post, and it's about 1/3 of that, so 23.3cm.

Dude let me tell you the difference between us.
You are fruit punch spiked with vodka...
I am fine aged red wine...

Both get you drunk but you will remember one for life and keep coming back to get it...

Yes full bodied red wine
