Wow it's like my bike except taller. haha. The only time I have the post that high is when I'm building the bike, put the post in at max height, say, "Wouldn't this be crazy" and we laugh and I put the post at about the right height. Very nice. Motivating me to build mine up again.

Thanks man. Pink hubs and definitely gonna be racing collegiate this season. Might even do some mountain or cross if I can get either built up in time.

Very aggressive, except for the hoods being so jacked.
Otherwise, I like the look.

how many hours do you have on microSHIFT? thoughts?

i tried them at interbike a few years ago, and didn't like the little shift button, but that was a pretty limited dry run. ergonomics might improve over time.

Thanks! I's a small drop, but I'm a small guy (5'4) so it works.

Love the microSHIFT. I have 2 seasons and a few thousand miles on them. People laugh at my DA derailleurs and Nashbar shifters, but they work fine. I won't say they are on par with other offerings, but they were super cheap and came in lighter than DA780 shifters. My new bike currently under construction will have a full gruppo. I posted a review on their stuff a few years back, probably still in the search.

Cheers
Rob

Is it just the photo, or are those hoods significantly larger than any Shimano/SRAM/Campy shifters? Does that ever annoy you? I rode with a guy a week ago who had whatever microshift they sell on low end Jamis bikes, he hated it but I think it was just poorly adjusted. Impressive that the weight is under DA...

They are non ergo shifters. Meaning the shifter cable comes out from above and not under concealed underneath. This always makes the hoods bigger.

A local Cat 1 rides them. Him and his dad (former Cat 1 also) both rave about the Microshift. They work and they have the same click feel as the old Dura Ace. If I was outfitting a bike from ground up I'd seriously consider them. The shifting action makes sense on them but then again I like Campy. I never got along with Shimano's STI and I'm not keen on SRAM's action.

They're smaller than the 7800 series, not sure how they stack up to 7900. I have small hands, and they have worked out well.

yeah, frankly I am not a fan of big tubes for aesthetics. But really, when I am on the Six, all smiles, all day.

I've had to take some time off due to the ol' job, but I've recently jumped back into it. Got about 10lbs to lose, but I haven't lost much in the way of power production. Oh, and in case you guys can't tell, I switched to the "dark side". I'll be putting together a pair of deep dish carbon wheels, built on DT 240 disc hubs, just for commuting and crushing the not-so-local group rides.

Got one of these before work took over:
