I'd say about .45 seconds, at 50mph, bombing down a hill in a race.

You realize 10m is 10 meters, right?

10 miles... under 24 minutes, I would imagine. Covered 8 miles on a multi-loop course (think long crit course), in like 18min a couple days ago. Standard road bike. Supposed to be a 20min effort but hey, I finished early. Cat3. Smaller guy so flat TTing isn't really my best feature.

OK, flat road, two wheel safety bike of some kind, about 30 minutes. I went down the Baker Grade east of Baker, California in a faired trike in less then 13 minutes for 10 miles.

wind, topography, altitude. road surface, All make this irrelevant.

The issue is whether you can beat the competition that shows up on the given day on the given course.

In September, I did an 8 mile TT (south Mo Pac TT here in Austin) in 18:51, which is right around 26mph. This is on a steel road-geometry bike (Ritchey Road Logic) with 3x 32h/36h wheels and clip-on AirStrykes. When I did it, I was unlicensed. I've recently renewed my USAC license SM3.

Also, I suck at TTs. I'm a sprinter/kilo kind of guy, though I have taken TTs as a vocation and greatly improved my speed in the last year, on the same relative fitness.

I can do about 24:45 over 18km which is 11.25 miles. This was on my road bike with clip-ons and Velomax Ascent II's. I've improved my engine and my setup this year: P2C with the full aero gear (helmet, Hed wheels). So I'm expecting to get below 24 over 18km.

You would be right around the best time for our club TT, which was, incidentally, won by a guy on a P3C last year: 23:01. Roland Green holds our course record at a rather mind-boggling 21:09. If my math is correct, for an 18km TT, that is an average of 51km/h.

Never done a 10 mile TT. 12.5 miles I did 28:01.

Last years stage race saw me doing a 15 mile effort in 37:31 with 600 ft of climbing.

This was all done on my road bike with no aero equipment.

22:20 back in the early 1990's on a temp course in the South of England.
It was only the 2nd TT I'd ever ridden, I'd won the 1st and was later disqualified from this for not reporting my previous time to the race organiser. It was a rule I was unaware of and no one had informed me of. Still I should have read every line of the rule book prior to starting eh?
At the first TT I got abuse from a couple of older TT'ers who complained about 'B***dy road riders coming here and taking our events' - At the time I rode for a club that was 99.9% Road and Track racing orientated. Needless to say it was the last TT I ever rode. My opinion at the time was 'TTing is an obscure and pointless backwater of our sport, but I'll give it a go, cos I could be wrong and it could be fun'. I enjoyed the ride, but not the heavy handed bureaucracy and holier than thou attitude of some of the competitors.
At the start I got abuse from a rider starting 4 mins in front of me who said my normal road bike was all wrong and if I wanted to 'Do a Time' I needed a low pro machine like his - needless to say I made a point of saying hello as I passed him
