Discovery is doing great! They win California, and now Paris Nice. I also hear that Bruyneel is on the verge of signing an new sponsor for 2008.
Now let's see Popovych or Basso win the Giro. Hope they have some gas left for the Tour in July?
What do you think about Contador? Perhaps this guy is about to make the leap and become a heavy hitter? A contender for a grand Tour? Man is is just flying right now.
Basso certainly has some weapons now for the Tour. Imagine being in the mountains with Leipheimer, Contador, Popovych, Danielson...and maybe even Hincapie. Who am I forgetting? Looks like a great team.
I still think that the ASO has something against Discovery for bringing in Basso to the team. I wouldn't put it past them to pull something dirty just before the Tour starts, such as saying Discovery can't race if they bring Basso?
Now that Operation Puerto is closed, I read that Beloki wants to come back. maybe Ullrich too?

That was a great finish.
But I still think Caisse De'Epargne will somehow be made to atone for yesterdays treachery. .. .somehow, someday

That was a great bike race to watch. Seeing Contador attack and all those guys take the corners down to Nice and then avoid the traffic "furniture" for a battle to the finish made for great spectating. I really don't see how they do it.

I'm not sure what was more impressive. The overall winner's final attack or the absolutely devastating setup to launch him. It has been a while since I saw a team pulverize the Big Boys of the UCI so convincingly and execute a strategy to such perfection. That was scary. To do that you need a strong star and an equally strong team. That's how they did it with Lance. Amazing. Best bike racing I've watched in some time.
All I know is I wouldn't want to be riding against Ivan and those boys in the Giro or the Tour. If Disco rides like that it won't be close. They had a lot of experience riding that way when Lance ran the show. They know how to do it.
And if you think it's mainly EPO, YOU take some and try to ride with those boys. Good luck.

It plays on versus. Some cable providers have it, I'm pretty sure all the dish companies carry it.
Also, get a big screen TV. Soooooo sweet with a 56in flat screen.

Great to see the whole disco team absolutely tearing apart the peloton on the climbs. Really set Contador up for those explosive wins. And 3 out of 7 stages win, that's not too shabby either . Looks good for the Giro, Tour and the Dauphine for sure!

Great race...Disco really has a strong lien up this year. They have a different mix it seems with a better chance to win more races then just a grand tour or two...three stage wins and the overall was quite the feat this week.

Man, what a team. You could tell with Levi and Contador that there is a real teamwork and comraderie. It's one thing to have all that talent. It's another thing to have all that talent working together for a common goal. Disco is going to wreck their competition at every opportunity if they keep healthy.

Hmmm, Discovery, with an all star team of Grand Tour riders, beat by 26 seconds a 36 year old classics rider who by himself has to cover all the moves by Discovery because his Gerolsteiner team is decimated/cut in half and without any climbers, and Discovery kicked ass?
Wow. You folks taking lessons from Dicky V.'s coverage of Duke?
After Rebellin was pummeled yesterday, and looking at 3 cat1 climbs today, the results were pretty much a forgone conclusion. But if anybody kicked ass, it was Rebellin.
Hats off to Davide for a gutsy ride.
