Know the course, try and ride it a few times to get the feel. gearing right and so on. Then try a 'real' ride over the course.
Strip as much off your bike as you can.
On your first uphill don't go crazy at the start, save something. blowing on a long hill climb is not good.

ooooh believe me, THAT I know. The first time I ever climbed this mountain, I exploded in spectacular fashion. IIRC, I was barely ticking over my 39-25 for what felt like a lifetime. I've since gotten better at holding some energy in reserve; hopefully this weekend I don't forget the lesson I learned.
But! The forecast is looking good, the mountain is angry, and we've got ~150 riders pre-registered. It's time to hurt!
