4/5 Half the field would soft pedal the main straight so I'd just run up them. I'm adept at being nonchalant.

managing your energy in a spread out awkward pack is a skill. Sounds like you at least had an idea of what you were doing

Trying a little move with 3 to go at Tulsa:

The same buttmuncher sitting on my wheel a lap and a half later. He took ONE pull, one short block long.

^^^ Nice dude, classic suffering there. Ouch

Here's our winning break from Thursday night. The guy on the front is our current TX state TT champ. On my wheel (can only see his shoulder) is my teammate and full-time training partner (lunchtime for the last three years). He's a Cat 4, and we took 1st and 2nd.

If there's any question, my suffer-meter was at around 90% here. Threshold work hurts me, and I'd been at 110% of FTP for 15 minutes at this point, coming off 30 minutes of attacks and covers to start the race.

That "buttmuncher" marked you, whats the problem?

I race with him every week, he's a cat1 and super strong, but he's young (first year not racing as a junior, I believe) and still has a lot to learn about racing.
