Hey Rob,

A marked improvement over last year. Looks like your training is paying off. Are you doing the LB race on Sunday?

The Garage Bikeshop 1919 is onboard along with a shop in Hamilton called Bikefix, plus we got some help from a vet that does housecalls. It's enough to get us through the season.

Thanks. Mine are Target specials and not the expensive ones but they work. I also find they don't fog up as much as cycling specific glasses.

Not really suffering, but it's probably the only race photo I'll get this season, since I broke my collarbone in the race right after this one.

Had surgery last Weds, and I got out for an easy 90 minutes yesterday. My shoulder/collarbone felt fine, but my ribs and back protested the effort. I feel better today. The real bummer is, I broke this collarbone last summer and still had a plate in there. Two surgeries with 6 months and my wife and kids are not so keen on racing. I'll change my focus to TT's for the rest of the season and see if time heals.

Yeah, that's a tough case to present back to the family. Luckily (?) I've just been crashing in training, so racing seems like the safe thing to do

i have a feeling that tts and cross may be my future racing career. i was interning at a law firm a few years ago and crashed in a crit pretty much destroying my hands for three days. that didn't go over too well.

This all sounds so familiar Already, just within a week, it's gone from no more racing to sticking to Masters racing, TT's and Road Races. I suck at crit racing anyway, this last one was just to blow the cobwebs out before a stage race. Also didn't help that it happened on our Anniversary .

Ya, isn't that kid 14 or 15? I may be thinking of a different one, though.

I think so. Gosh, to start racing at that age. I think (could be wrong) his parents are well off too. He's coached, has very supportive parents, on a good team, skinny, bright, etc.
He's like my polar opposite.
