yeah windy TTs are among those race conditions where i'm glad i have a little more bulk holding me down than most guys (160)...

TT specialist friend of mine who raced the same day, whos closer to 140, and also ran a disc, says he literally got lifted up and pushed over about a foot by one of the xwind gusts.

Suffering. Had done a bunch of chasing earlier in the race and was just trying to survive it out.

At Deer Trail I joked with another rider about the "Primal Wall" at the start line. They were lined up shoulder to shoulder across the whole road.

I like trying to guess the category from race pictures..

Cat 5's are easy: they look like **** on the bike, super scared/nervous, locked elbows and parachutes flying around (badly-pinned #'s).

Cat 4's are a little less scared, with a slight bend in the elbow. Helmets start looking a little more pro too.

Cat 3's just look plain awesome b/c we're 3's.. I think it's the number pinning & skinsuits that make us look so cool.

Cat 1/2's just look like they're doping. Oh and they have nice wheels and flat backs.

Yup, that pretty much sums it up!

^From the same weekend/ same race. =D

Pain in the pack:

Rewarded in the final sprint:

Literally though I was going to crack and just go out the back door. Thanks to some teammates, I got to take a stab at the sprint.
