clip-on aero bar set-up
i borrowed some profile design, f-19 clip-on aero bars from a teammate for the opening TT of tucson bicycle classic this weekend and i've never run clip-on aeros before.....any advice on how to position them?
how far apart?
fore/aft position?
-since it's a short TT (3 miles) with long 5-6% grades, i'm not going to spend a whole ton of time in them, so i don't want to move around my seat much or spend too much time worrying about it, but if there are some general tips you all have i'd appreciate it.

Making a kilometer blurry
Move your saddle all the way forward. Get the elbow pads as close as you can stand it. Start with them horizontal, and pulled back toward you enough to give your knees an inch or two of clearance with your elbows. If you tip the bars up, it will lower your shoulders, so this is a good trick for getting a little lower (or the opposite if you need to get higher).
Give it a shot, then post a pic.

Try this one, especially if you're using a road bike:

I'm using it in conjunction with the "Slam/Jammer position" and a Profile T2+ bar. No need to mess with my saddle (which will mess with your power output if you don't train that position enough), yet I am still picking up massive increases in speed.
