Zipp Report

Another 34 miles on the Zipps today. The Zipp Six13 feels like a new bike. In fact the faster you ride, the more the Zipps feel like you're getting what you paid for. And they climb great too.

The real test is a race/competitive ride. Perhaps this weekend. We'll see. But they FEEL/ride fantastic. Nice wheels.

8AM, but local floods/road closings have the whole thing a bit uncertain. You can email me off my website @ www.cotsiscad.com and we can discuss it further KP.

I realize that Generation Y Not has the best drugs and that they may be impacting your youthful judgment, but Pcad riding a bicycle with Zipps is hardly seeing that particular component 'in action'. At any rate, stay in touch, I'll try to find out what the hell is going on with that dopey ride this Sunday.

My LBS assures me that even beat to bejeez ES wheels bring $700+ on eBay all day long there botto. I actually may be selling a pair at some point.

The high resale value of beat up high zoot bike crap is an astonishing phenomena to behold in all its weenie glory on eBay. And now you know why I mainly buy new stuff. The Zipps were the exception to the rule.

When Dr. W. gives up bike racing I'll buy his motor.

Your LBS is being very optimistic, ProBikeKit sells them new for $849.00.

My LBS has consistently delivered on their eBay promises. I didn't say it made sense, I'm just telling you they get stupid money for this stuff on eay. I for one didn't know ProBikeKit sold them for <$900. That's a good price.

i've got about 70 miles on mine and i couldn't agree more. once they are rolling the bike is like a freight train...it won't stop coasting and the acceleration is right on queue. ditto on the climbing.

i'm about to head out and put another 40 miles on my new 404s.

On the other hand my Mavics have approximately 1/2 the wattage going through them as anyone else's here, so they actually have LESS wear and tear. Gear that spends one month with Cypress would actually = about 6 months on Pcad's bicycle.

yeah, but i tend to have my doubts abouts cypress's claims, even if i do think he's too smart/witty/charming for the Styx he calls home.
