The damn cat 4 races fill way in advance but the three races are usually only like 1/3 to a 1/2 full. WTH, cat4's must be going to 3's or are they just hanging around in the 4's looking to sandbag a win?

Meh. I'm just looking to sandbag a decent finish

There are a lot of 4s, though. Masters races are chock full, too. But I don't think I'll be in the 3s anytime soon, or maybe ever. Which is fine.

Sorry. I've only got 2 points left, then I'll be out of your way.

Yeah, so close! I was in a perfect position for the sprint as well, but the guy in front of me took a horrible line and slowed way down on the last turn so I was out of contention for the sprint. Damn. Maybe next time.

Yeah I was at Berkeley Hills RR today. I got 4th in the 4s. Our group of 8 broke away on the first lap and stayed away. We had an awesome paceline going for most of it, and eventually had 3 minutes on the field at the beginning of the last lap. I just didnt have the legs to compete for the win at the end.

Sounds like the DC area. Cat 4 races here have been known to sell out less then 10 minutes after registration opens.
