Not sure how I would notice that, did you read that in your subscription to US Weekly or People magazine?

LOL. No, it was in Pro Cycling.

For those who don't know, Saul Raisin was in a horrible accident that resulted in them having to cut out a chunk of his brain (no joke) and they thought he'd never live, then that he'd never walk again, then that he'd never ride again. He's proven them wrong on each. (BTW, he had to relearn how to speak, read/write, walk, etc)

So maybe Z's just loaning Saul his sister so he can re-learn how to date?

Didn't his accident somehow affect his lung capcity in a positive way? I remember reading that somewhere, but not sure where.

I'm pretty sure it's a congenital defect (he has a curved spine) that affects his lung capacity in a positive way

If you're talking about Raisin, no. What it actually was is that after his accident his body underwent such stress/pain that he could no longer fatigue himself with cycling. He said he'd ride himself into the ground and never feel tired or a burning in the legs. However, he said that recently (about 18 months later) he's started to get the feeling of fatigue back again.

Somehow I can never see Riis being impressed with Zabriskie's antics. How often do you see him smiling after all?

Good point. I guess as long as Dave Z. keeps producing the results, Riis will endure them.

Z has a following. That following thinks Z is funny and they have money. Some of that money is spent on CSC related apparel etc. Part of that money goes into Riis' pocket. I'm sure Riis is fine with Zabriskie.

Somehow I doubt excellence is all he's pissing. I bet he's a big hairy American doping machine. I'm suspect of any pro cyclist that spends a lot of time in Spain where roids are legal.

I read a quote in Bicycling mag this month...I don't have it handy but someone will correct it.

Before the tour in 2005 a German TV station was interviewing him and ask who would be on the Podium after the prolog...his responce was Me, Me, Me...the next day he won and beat Armstrong by 2 seconds...

as opposed to any pro that spends a lot of time in TX or SoCal, where you can drive to Mexico and buy them as easy as an ice cream cone.

Today's Z interview is pretty entertaining (assuming you're a fan)
