Who's ridden in the most US states?

and which had the best overall road riding?

I know I'm nowhere close (VA, MD, NC, WV, ME, SC, FL) = 7.

I'd have to say NC was best of the lot.

It won't be that hard for people to amass a large number of states ridden in.

WY, FL, MD, VA, CO, SD, HI, CA, OR, WA = 10; 11 if you count DC. I'll also throw in Spain and Germany just for grins.

WV, Va, Md, Pa, Oh, Ky, Nc, Sc, Ga, Fl, De, Ill, Mi, Co, Ca, Wa, Hi,

WV has to rate pretty high on the list. Highest average elevation east of the Mississippi, and very low population density.

I've only got 5:

CA, NV, OR, WA, HI

But I've ridden over 6,000 ft high in each of those states.

Wow, hard to remember exactly.

VA
DC
NC
SC
GA
WV
MD
MT
WY
CO
UT
CA
OR
FL

I think there are more, but those are the ones I can think of offhand.

It's really hard to say which has the best riding. For mountains, either western NC, West VA, or Georgia. Overall, I'm pretty happy with NC at this point.
