OK so it was in a "C" training race (Greenbelt, for the locals)

But still, I was very excited to take 5th of 28. I even attacked at the end and got a nice gap, but I had gone too early and couldn't hold it all the way in. But it was great fun, pretending to race like one of the big boys....

Nice job, Ghostman... Sorry we didn't get a chance to chat at the race. I'll see you next week, though--time to give the B race a shot!

I had a top-ten finish in my first race. Of course I often forget to mention that I was 10th out of a field of 10 (it was a rainy day).

That race of mine was in PP, I think you were there. The real fun was BEFORE the race.

yeah! i was in that race. could have sworn there were 11 people at the start, but maybe i was mistaken. i've done quite a few of those races in the rain where there were less than a dozen people so i could be thinking of another time.

Well afterwards the guy told me I was 10th. All I know is that I was definitely DFL!

Nice finish Ghostman, I didn't even see you there and I watched a good bit of C race. First top 10 is a big step, congrats.
