Race Report (June 9th)

I raced today.

I still have all of my teeth.

That is all.

Cromulent 06-09-07 08:02 AM

How'd you do?

botto 06-09-07 08:04 AM

better than my front wheel.

Hipcycler 06-09-07 08:07 AM

oh-oh, this should be good.

Cromulent 06-09-07 08:09 AM

Then we are to assume that the rubber side was not kept down, as they say.

DrPete 06-09-07 08:11 AM

Oh no... we need some details. Hope the rest of you is as intact as your teeth.

incorrect.

although if the roles had been reversed, i'm pretty sure the schmuck who put his foot into my front wheel would have done a face plant.

   A guy put his foot into your front wheel? WTF?

Hipcycler 06-09-07 08:23 AM

Oh the drama....DAMN....I can't leave yet now.

(...meantime, as he waits for details from botto....can you help him make up his mind....should I RIDE 36 miles out of town TO the lake house, then cut the grass there....OR....should I drive there, cut the grass, THEN go on a 36-mile ride out in the countryside?)

it should ride there, cut the grass, then ride back home.

Hipcycler 06-09-07 08:36 AM

...come on botto....

1. Make up my mind for me on my ride today. The sun is out and it's 72 degrees...light wind. What's it gonna be? Ride to the lake and then cut the grass or drive to the lake, cut the grass and THEN ride out in the country?

2. Why would a guy stick his foot into your wheel?
Accident=lame
Breaking Away-like=now we've got a story

Hmmm....ride there 36 miles....see how I feel....keep going and do the added 35-mile hilly Kettle Moraine route....THEN cut grass (tomorrow?!)

Hipcycler 06-09-07 08:43 AM

Okay....I'm heading to the cycling room to change for the ride to the lake. When I get back here I expect some details....somebody didn't keep the rubber side down in this deal!
I have to know before I head off on the ride out of town.

Lake house is a lot of fun, but it's a lot of work.

Do people race for clubs/teams in these races or is it mainly unattached folks?
