Race Report (June 13th)

I raced tonight.

I learned something new: over here it actually is easier in the Masters.

One year to go before I can actually confirm that.

That is all.

In NY vets can be slower, but often that is not the case, sometimes it's faster.

Wait, I just used 'easy' in connection with bicycle racing. This is how it must feel to be KP or Cypress.

So you didn't get to race in Masters today?
You only saw it and made that conclusion?

Word around here is that Masters can usually be a lot faster/tougher than Cat 5/4 races.

What Cat did you race in?
How did it go?

That is all....?

No...
Nothing is over until WE say it's over.

I raced with Women, 55+ Masters, 40+ Masters, and other (i.e. Cats A, B, Elite, Pro - although I don't think there were any pros tonight).

After an hour the Women have 2 laps to go, after that the 55+ have 3 laps to go, then the 40+ have 3 laps to go, then I had my chance.

So yes, I raced with Masters, amongst others.

Nope.

Today was indeed a licensed race, although if you don't have a license, you can get a day license for 5€.

I'm guessing he didn't do any better than 2nd. That would probably warrant a "hrm?".

when the guy got a flat, the dog ran on to the course, or the chic who just sprinted hit the brakes, with 70+ guys still racing right behind her?
