TT nats... Oh, snap!

OK. So i've been planning this for months. So much time, effort, not to mention money spent in dialing in the TT position (the pics I posted are a joke compared to how it looks now...for realz), building the bike, training, etc, etc, etc. This last week has been a huge ball of stress as I tried to tie up all the loose ends and get everything completely ready.

Anyways, finally, everything's loaded in the stupid car, and now I just have to wait until work ends today and it's time! Sorry, I know this probably doesn't interest anybody, but I felt the need to write about it since it's such a huge relief to finally be doing what i've been waiting to do all Spring.

...so, send some luck on Friday morning, i'm not gonna win, but i'm gonna need all the luck I can get .

Then, I get to come back and continually hit reload on the U23 National TT results until my name shows up -- I can't wait!

Good luck! From what I've seen, you're really well prepared, so just stick to your game plan, and try to unwind your stress ball.

Most of all, have fun too!

I always tried to find a local Crit or training ride on the way to Track Nats. Broke up the drive and provided a little stress releif, no doubt when you have been pointing at a race you can get a little wound up! Good Luck!

Texas sucks! You can thank me for the little bit of extra motivation later.

Yeah, it's horrible to be completely surrounded by Texas. Kind of unnerving. The border crossing from Austin into TX is a little unsecure, in my opinion.

Sorry about that.

We, the Waterlooans before you, thought tearing down the fascist wall was a good idea. We didn't realize our mistake until it was too late! But hey, the pluses are better prices during Truck Month (which is every month) and free access to the consumerist splendor that is North Austin.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh my gosh, i'm gonna laugh about that for the next week.

Clearly, you've spent time in Austin, because that totally hits the nail on the head!! (Seriously, not being sarcastic at all -- it really is always truck month)

It took me about four months of listening to the radio with it playing lightly in the background as I drove to work before, "Iiiiiiiittttttt's TRUCK MONTH!" came over the airwaves for the billionth time and I suddenly got wise to it. "Dang! It's ALWAYS truck month!"

I'm glad someone else noticed the Truck month thing... It's always truck month, and Gallery Furniture is always having a sale, and Carpet Giant is in the business of going out of business.

Beer.....yuck.

I am, without a doubt, the only person NOT to get drunk on their 21st birthday.

Too bad Bitter End bit experienced a bitter end. They made some really good beer and in more unique styles than almost any other brewer on the face of the earth ever to exist, ever. Middle Aged monks or ancient Egyptians had nothing on the Bitter End.

Nowadays, Shiner Bock's color is said to come from caramel coloring instead of roasted malts. That's a dang shame, right there.

Austin has its own real brewers and plenty of comfortable places to enjoy their handiwork. You don't even need to cross into Texas for that. Unless of course, you're headed on down to Driftwood for some barbecue and some BYOB.

GOOD LUCK IN ADVANCE, UT_DUDE. Kick some for us, Bubba.
