Please stop moving the Vino threads.

The Vino story is FAR bigger than the Tour de France. Please let us discuss that HERE.

Thanks.

+1 -- seems a lot of threads, not just Vino are being moved today. Lots & lots of moderating. If it is due to complaints, can we countercomplain?

Considering the way the Drug Troll has gone off the deep end, this is one day I don't mind a little Moderation.

+1, I'm annoyed by having to go to other areas of BF since this is the only place I have bookmarked. Mods - people post stuff here for a reason, respect it. If they wanted it over in the TdF forum, they would have posted it there in the 1st place.

Certain topics are bigger than the TDF, and so are probably more appropriate in a forum that is frequented in months other than July.

At this rate in another year or two the ASO will be begging for the days of Lance...at least he never got caught. I came into this year's race actually believing Moreau had a real shot. WTF was I thinking?

You really have to be the most short-sighted cyclist on the planet to go into this year's Tour on dope. The cachet you would have gained as a clean winner. I'm just waiting for the Rasmussen shoe to drop now. I can't believe this. I wouldn't even shocked if road cycling is removed the Olympics at this point.

In retrospect, I'll leave one, until it becomes the standard apocalyptic, troll-ridden doping thread. Have at it.

TDF forum? I only frequent the bike racing forum (bookmarked), so if it's not here, I don't see it. We have enough beginner comments here, I can't imagine what it's like over at the "July is the only race" forum.

One of the things that sucks about this is that now we all have to go to work and listen to the "trolls" there too, and attempt to explain Vino's pure stupidity to the cycling-ignorant masses.

I realize this is a much larger problem in perspective, but there's this one guy I work with I am really not looking forward to dealing with today now. (ironically, he's a power lifter.. yah, there's a clean sport)

Once again I agree with Pcad. Look this is a racing story as much as it is a TdF story, leave it here please.

A colleague just wandered into my lab to talk about the Vino news. He's also a cyclist so we had an interesting discussion to say the least. Why would anyone dope like that after what happened with Floyd??

and didn't Rasmussen fail to show up for some mandatory drug tests this season, like 4 of them??

I wonder if Vino's case will have any merit based on the previous weeks events: open wounds and medical procedures? I'll have to ask my wife (the doctor in the house) about it but it seems a little more plausible than carrying around someone else's testosterone or triggering an actual EPO positive.

In the end its a moot point, he's been tried and sentenced in the press and the glacial-speed of the appeal process means his career is over.

*On further consultation I have been informed that the preceding scenario is virtually impossible.

Privacy concerns aside for a moment, wouldn't baseline DNA testing solve this problem?
