... harden the F up.

Burn out is very real, unless you're a CX-er and transitioning to start training for jumping over barriers and what not, deal with it (burn out) in September and October, there's too much racing season left to worry about it now.

Whats this burn out you speak of? I'm setting my sites on winning the Turkey Day Cat 4/5 race in Sept. The Michael P. Murad RR is the day before. I plan a good showing there too.

I got a real late start to the training season so i'll be fresh in Aug/Sept.

See as i'll be all fresh and stuff, this will be the year i finally give in to my inner dirty man-child and give cyclocross a go.

I'm already sick of this. Really, your average cyclist is about as tough as PCad's WASA off the bike.

Please remind me how "hard" you guys are when it's below freezing and your bikes are sitting on the trainer or collecting dust.

Dearborn... ****; It's still only winter in Dearborn... Every time I think I'm gonna wake up back on a summer road. When I was stuck inside after my first summer, it was worse. I'd wake up and every day there'd be snow. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was on the road, I wanted to be back in the house resting; now all I can do is rest, and all I can think of is getting back on the road. I'm inside three months now... waiting for the thaw... getting softer; every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Fred pedals on the icepack, he gets stronger. Each time I look around, the walls move in a little tighter.

I can be joined for rides every sat. and sun. all year long ... weekdays in winter, I admit to being on the trainer, a 9 to 5 leaves me with no daylight available outdoor training and commuting isn't an option.

Thanks for the correction.

BTW - I train during the week in winter in the Columbia area (where i work) using a NiteRider 15w and a blinker. Toward the end of winter I scored a used NiteRider HID light. It's brighter than the stock headlight on my Ducati ST.
