Luckily the Spanish tour hasn't gotten mixed up in all that trash, they have real heros like, well, uhh, Vino, Heras, mmmm, never mind.

well the implication of the thread was that you were done with the TDF because of the drug scandals.

Historically, the Vuelta has had more questions regarding drugs. As highlighted by Operation Puerto, doping hasn't even been illegal in Spain in the past, which is part of the reason that doping has been rampant in Spain.

So if you're looking for a no doping race, the Vuelta woudn't be the first place to start.

+1 on the classics. Sure I've been watching the Tour since the LeMond/Hinault days, but I'd take the springtime and cobblestones anyday!

i dont give a **** about the drugs. personally i wish they would all get busted after the tour was over not during it. I still thought stage 16 was great and would have been even better had astana still been there.

YMCA hit the nail on the head.

I cant wait for the spring classics either (im tentatively going to see some in person) but the Vuelta comes first. Maybe I should have just said wake me when the tdf is over.

Did I miss it? The Vuelta's not using WADA to do testing? OK, it'll be much different then.

It will be interesting to see how selective the invites are to the Vuelta this year.

The Vuelta is awesome. Sure it's not as commercially popular as the Tour. But the pain is Spain falls mainly on the mountains.

The Giro is the best. Vuelta is the ugly step-child you're forced to love. Tour de France is the sl*t down the street everyone knows about.

The Tour is a soap opera.

The Giro is beautiful.

The Vuelta is the ultimate attackfest. If the road goes even slightly up, it's on. Plus they always have a couple of great crosswind stages.
