Should Vino change?

Given the recent "A" sample results for my namesake, it's been suggested that I change my moniker and avatar. Frankly, I'm on the fence. So I'm willing to let democracy have it's way with me. You decide.

If yes, I'm open for suggestions.

I say wait for the "B", but if positive, then it's time to change.

Something like, "the symbol formerly known as Vino".

We all know what the B sample is going to tell us...even if it were to be different than the A sample too much has transpired for them to reverse their decision.

Vino this is a hard call, your 'man' has been the greatest animator in the peloton over the last several years. He's probably (like most of the peloton) been doping all along but we've all sat on the edge of our seats every time he took off on a flyer. I know you appreciate that as much or more than any of us. The problem this year is that there is a decent chance that a good part of the peloton is racing clean, and that makes Vino's actions a tad more nefarious. I think in the end it's time for a change...it's time to move on...

Like you said, blood doping dosen't make you crawl back on the saddle for six hours a day with the torn up knee and elbow.

He wasted 2 weeks of his teams time with a ego driven tranfusion hail mary TT that got them thrown out.

Wait for the B sample then decide...just don't defend his behavior, like that "Rasmussen" tool who was decrying the injustice to his hero in the main RB forum...

Red Alert

BF Dope Troll Filter has detected the phrases "A sample", "B sample", and "doper" in the OP, indicating possible doping content. Please move to TdF forum located at: http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=217. Road Bike Racing forum is reserved for non-TdF, non-doping content only. Thank you.

Yes, and you must also return your entire year's salary as well.

Of course, trying to find a replacement avatar (of an exciting, charismatic, successful, NON-DOPING pro cyclist) may turn out to be a harder task than any race you've ever done....

If a) you think he doped and b) you think doping is inappropriate, then you should ban the nick & avatar for 2 years from Bike Forums, and an additional 2 years from the Road Bike Racing subforum.

Why stop at the B-sample? I'm sure there will be a hearing that you can wait for a verdict on. Or the resulting appeal. Or his book.

keep it, you've had it for 1.5 years now. People know your posts as that name. You change it and the speed readers/ people who scan the page to read posts of only the people they know will no longer read your stuff.

Ped's can give you the legs and the lungs, but not the heart. Although I am not a Vino fan he is a ballsy little guy. I see no shame in keeping it.
