Goodbye Austin Tx

Well I did my farewell ride in Austin today with few friends and teammates. We did a nice tour around the city and hit few of the big hills, a nice day on the bike. So I'll be in Cali in 5 days and once I find a place to live I'll start the hunt for a new team. If we end up in Thousand Oaks I'm thinking Amgen, if we end up in La Canada area (most likely scenario) then PAA. Both are good teams from what I've been able to dig up. I'll spend a few weeks getting myself back into some decent shape then start to hit their team rides and lobby for an invite. I'm thinking of doing a ride in the Santa Monica's or Angeles Crest on August 11th if any of you SoCalers are interested.

Good luck EDR. I have just recently completed my move and am still getting settled in. My riding time has taken an extreme hit, but I'm starting to get into a new routine and will start to ramp it back up. I wish you the best in your new home.

Good luck with the move! Just went from MI to TX myself, looks like ive aready scared off one rider Finally starting to get a little mileage in with the family settled. Will be looking for a club this fall.

Some good riding and racing out there, take your time. Racing unattached and anonymous can be fun too.

Thanks all. I'm going to be racing mostly masters and doing that against a good team is basically futile. Besides I like being on a team, it can make training and racing more fun.

Yeah I'm going to have to change everything. Swissy SoCal Monkey Boy and SoCal to Austin to SoCal.

I have to say that I'm really going to miss this place (maybe not the summers so much). The people here are the best, and the bike racing and culture and first rate.

It might not rain every day in SoCal, you'll have that going for you.

Well EDR, maybe I can take on your Austin-Spirit. I am moving to Austin in 5 days and did my own farewell ride today as well. I am so excited about moving there and can't wait to immerse myself in the city's active culture.

I hope you love it as much as I have. This is really a great place to live, and race. Check out Austin Bikes when you get here , Sol and Eric are the owners and are great guys and two of the best wrenches in town.
